Netvibes

Netvibes is a brilliant social resource site that uses a dashboard style page to personalise, display and publish all required information on one site.

This award winning site allows you to use widgets and tabs to display videos, up-to date news feeds, applications, and much more. This allows individuals and companies to interact and display their personalised info all on one platform.

I have created my personal Netvibes site, following my passion for travel; I have created a site all about an upcoming trip to Thailand. By following some simple steps I was able to create a page that includes flight comparison tools, news updates, smart traveller alerts, calendar, hotel info, videos and discussion boards to allow my travelling companions and I to interact and view all the same information. My only minor issue with Netvibes was at times not being able to find the appropriate sites in the widgets they supplied, a simple solution to this however, is to click on add content, essential widgets and then select webpage. Once this is uploaded you will be able to add the URL of any site you wish. This also provides a better way to interact without having to go off the page.
